Do you find the practice of "meditation" challenging? If so, this class may be for you - it'll be like meditation for people who have a hard time meditating! I personally struggle with meditation because I have a hard time sitting still, I struggle to "turn off" my brain, and I am too easily distracted. I know how helpful meditation can be for busy bodies like me, so I used to feel frustrated with my inability to do it "right" (note that I'm a recovering over-achiever and perfectionist, too...). Rather than forcing myself to do something that doesn't work for me, I have found other ways to become more present, centered and grounded. "Presence" is an important quality to cultivate for our personal growth and wellbeing. If we're not present to what's happening both within and around us, it can seem like our life is passing us by. We need to bring awareness to that which is most important for our own wellbeing, and bring attention to what we need for our own personal and spiritual growth.
