It's Small Business Week and I want to send a big Thank You to all the small business owners out there who had the courage to listen to their heart and follow their dreams. I just read that more than half of Americans own or work for a small business and that entrepreneurs help create an abundance of jobs in the United States alone.
Launching your own business, no matter how big or how small, takes a lot of courage, effort, and perseverance. Its damn hard work and can be terrifying....I'm not gonna lie. But there's nothing like it. I grew up in corporate America, but dropped out 5 years ago to launch my own little business and I've not regretted it for one minute. Not even when I didn't know what I was doing, or during the times when I don't make profits.
Creating my own vision, setting my own goals, building my business around intangible concepts like love and joy instead of monetary success alone brings a sense of meaning and fulfillment to my life. I'm so grateful for the clients I've had the pleasure to serve. To those of you do buy from local / small business when you have the opportunity to do so, THANK YOU! You make a difference with each purchase! Granted, it's not always feasible to buy local for everything, all the time. But even a little bit can make a difference. 💜
