It doesn't need to be a big space. My little centering space is just a small shelf that sits under a bigger rack in one small section of the room that serves as my creative work space. It doesn't take up a lot of real estate, but it still serves a very important purpose.
My small but mighty sacred space holds a few nature-inspired elements and artifacts that represent each of the 4 elements of water, fire, earth, and air. I've included reminders to listen to my heart and to be courageous and not let fear be in charge. When I look at this little shelf, I remember that love is my purpose and that everything I do, every decision I make, should come from my heart.
When I need to come back to my heart center, I come and sit here. I get quiet. I take everything in. I close my eyes and just tune in to whatever is going on inside. I relax and let go of whatever it is that is troubling me. I trust that everything will work out exactly as it is meant to be. When I get up, I feel calmer, more grounded, more connected, and inspired.
So, do you have a sacred space? How do you use yours? How does it help you?
