The changes that we want to make in our life are exciting. And scary. They can fill us full of fear and stop us in our tracks. What will people think of me? What if I say or do the wrong thing? What if I fail?
Fear can be debilitating. It can cause us to freeze and avoid taking the actions that we need to take to advance toward our goals.
But fear can also be extremely motivating. When we look fear in the face and decide to act anyway, we are empowered. We begin to believe in our strengths and capabilities; we begin to know that we can indeed accomplish our goals.
Don't let fear knock you down. Determine what it is that you are afraid of, and then do something to move yourself forward.
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” - Dale Carnegie
